Webcast: A live wine tasting online

Webcast Program, November 18, 1999 7-8 p.m. PST

In an exclusive interview, world-renowned wine critic and author Jancis Robinson will reveal her first wine experience and why wine holds such a special place in our lives. Wine educator Bruce Cass will take the on-line audience and volunteer tasters from the Exploratorium on an exploration of the basic components of wine: acid, sugar, and tannin.

Ann Noble, U.C Davis enologist and inventor of the Wine Aroma Wheel, will lead the audience through an aroma tasting and explain how she trains wine judges and students to recognize the flavors and aromas in wine. We'll also trace the wine-making process from grape to glass with Daniel Moore, the winemaker for Lynmar Winery.
